The tulips are in full and glorious bloom at the Wellington Botanic Gardens, this being the spring festival and last Sunday being Tulip Sunday.
MetService is promising another fine, sunny day today so go along to admire them. Daylight saving means for those not on holiday, you can go after work, too.

I drive through Epsom in Auckland to get to work. At the eastern end of Ranfurly Road and along Market Road there are a number of trees that are in full blossom and which look quite sensational.

Had no idea the guy looked so strange though.

Depsite the howling winds, the tulips are still holding up.
Looked spectacular this morning.

Thanks Poneke, I really appreciate your posts on the little things around Wellington. I’m stuck down in Christchurch for another month and a half, and its nice to be able to keep up with the little things like this! definitely shortens the distance.
Keep up the good work!
Michael.

And I saw the first ducklings of the season yesterday, there were 11 spotted in the duckpond (group of 10 & 1 seemingly alone, but there were probably more out of sight) and Mrs Llew saw more in the Lady Norwood Rose Garden.
Ah spring.
